In Baron, the vines grown on their prefered clay and chalk soil and are exposed to the gentle climate of Bordeaux. The Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon can therefore ripen to perfection. In Pomerol and St Emilion, deep sand and gravel soils allow these same varieties to make wines of exceptional character and elegance.
